Call for projects in food security and nutrition will benefit 11 agri-SMEs and cooperatives

Seven new technical assistance projects submitted by five entities in support of 11 beneficiary organisations will be co-financed by the SSNUP programme. This is the outcome of a call for projects on food security and improved nutrition by the SSNUP programme coordinator ADA in January 2026.

How a cascade training approach empowered smallholder farmers in Benin

Almost 2,500 smallholder farmers in Benin received training in financial literacy and sustainable agricultural practices. The results were clear: an increase in engagement and learning capacities on the one hand, and in production and revenues on the other hand.

Putting nutrition on top of the agenda of impact investors

SSNUP’s knowledge manager ADA organised a workshop on: ‘Nutrition Investments – Frameworks and Practical Tools for Impact Investors’. When pests and wrong harvesting practices led to a decline in the quality of macadamia nuts in Kenya, it became urgent to improve agricultural methods. Video training and farm field demonstrations helped to minimise the problem.
