ADA supported more than 430,000 people in 2025
According to its 2025 annual report, ADA helped more than 430,000 vulnerable people such as smallholder farmers and young entrepreneurs to benefit from financial, technical or entrepreneurial support, market access or access to renewable energy.
ADA leverages impact finance to improve the living conditions of economically vulnerable people in Africa, Latin America and Asia in a lasting manner. Economically vulnerable means that they struggle to make ends meet as they have limited access to finance, markets and other entrepreneurial support which would enable them to improve their income and their living conditions. ADA addresses this by combining impact finance with operational support.
According to its 2025 annual report ADA helped more than 430,000 smallholder farmers, young entrepreneurs and other groups of targeted people (55% of whom were women) to benefit from at least one of the following services for the first time: financial, technical or entrepreneurial support, market access or access to energy.
ADA does not work directly with these people but instead supports them via 290 local organisations in 47 countries such as financial institutions, SMEs, cooperatives and incubators. These local organisations are best placed to deliver lasting services which are tailored to the local context and the target population. The aim of partnering with these organisations is to make local economies sustainably autonomous.
The annual report also features a consolidated impact assessment: between 2022 and 2025, more than 1.2 million people benefited from solutions developed with ADA’s support - resulting in positive economic effects, notably a more secure and diversified income.
“At ADA, we use impact finance to change lives in a lasting manner in Africa, Latin America and Asia. We help women and men to obtain tailored financial services or to gain access to energy in order to grow their businesses and face life’s uncertainties”
says Laura Foschi, Executive Director of ADA.
